You always have that segment of life that does not want you to kill a fish, ,wild game and eat it. Them same people do not mind eating a six week old calf called veal. They are the same people that go off to work and leave their pet locked in the house for 8-10 hours while they commute to and back from work and the fad in the last few years is for these same people to lock them in a cage all day. Man's best friend, is slowly becoming friends worst enemy.

They are, "do as I say, not what I do," people.

I hunt and I fish and I eat everything I kill and have friends that say how bad I am and how I am causing animals to be extinct yet they will eat anything I bring back it's confusing. On the dog issue I have a very well trained Black Lab and I recieved a ticket last year for not having him licensed, so I went to get him licensed and it is 450 bucks because he is not fixed and if he was it is only 23. I asked them why the big difference and they stated in their words that it is people like me and dogs like mine that are the cause of all the strays in the neighborhoods that they have to take care of so they need to cover the costs. My dog has never gotten out of my yard or even tried, I have a 1/4 acre lot fenced and my dogs love it there. Needless to say I still don't have him licensed because i just don't agree with it.

I live in a tourist town and one of my favorite past times is spearfishing just off of the coast... its always interesting to hear some of criticism that you get from the idealistic extremists when you start dragging a bloody fish out of the water... I have a whole speach prepared about selective fishing just to quiet them down. (I call it going to the fish store ;) ) Its one thing to be an informed conservationist, but its just sad if you are trying wipe your hands of the actual fact that we as humans are omnivores. Plus, they said very clearly in the article that they were planning on eating the shark!!!

Reason #245 not to live in California. And I do the same- everything I catch or shoot ends up on my dining room table.

Nice Fish...
We once hooked about a 12' Hammer head, I would have kept that thing If I had the chance. Don.t care if the tree hugers like it or not,,, If they think sharks are in danger,,, do a little bottom fishing on the east coast...
