Just went for ride. Boat does not want to move under load. Engine revs but prop, I guess, is not spinning to move boat. Moves ok under idle or slow throttle. Someone told me possible spun bearing in prop. Any ideas? Does that mean I can remove my prop only, & bring the prop only down to get new bearing? I just remove the cotter pin & nut & pull apart?

Thanks in advance. Any additional info provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Its not a bearing, its the hub that is spun.
The hub is made of rubber and pressed in the middle of the prop where the splines are.
A different prop will fix it if that is the problem. You can also take the prop to a shop and have a new hub installed. thats about 45 dollars in my area.

You got it.

There should be a rubber hub in the prop that acts as a "safety" in case you hit something, yada, yada, I've never seen it save a prop, but if it goes bad, you need to replace the prop or take it to a prop shop.

The bushing in the hub of the propeller is not there to save the propeller; it's there to save your drive train.

Don't forget to grease the splines when you put it back on.
