Any other ideas? Anything that might have been overlooked or simply not thought of?

Re: Possible Starter problem?

Did you pull the spark plugs and check for water in the cylinders? If no water, See if this will help.

No water in the cylinders. Just a dead starter - I took it off and had it tested and it made a really horrible sound - The guy said (cant remember name) some part was getting ready to come shooting out of it.

Bottom line - Contacted DB Electrical out of Johnson City, TN and got a brand new marine one for $77 shipped. Nice people to deal with; Very knowledgeable. The new starter was also much lighter than the old, so added bonus there.

Thanks

[edit] After installing the new starter and seeing how well it works, I'd definitely buy from DB again. I also broke down and bought a complete ignition tune up kit w/ coil. I've got the adjust the points, but other than that, she's runnin' nice again.
