Re: post your Pics and vids of the big snow storm
After last year's near record snow and me laid up from shoulder surgery, and the Bosslady having to shovel all the snow, I was commanded to get a snow blower. With us going to the lake with a fairly steep and long drive, I was all for it. I used it for the first time at the city house so the movers could get to us and they packed it for the move.
So, when at the lake and them calling for 20 inches of snow, I just sat back and smiled. The snow eventually stops, I go fill up the gas and oil, and start clearing off the patio and sidewalk and started to tackle the hill. Half-way up it is really struggling. I'm not happy that if this all it has. There is a faint sound of metal breaking and then it dies. I pull the started cord and it turning freely. Hummm. Try it a couple more times and realize this can't be good. Then once more, except now the cord don't move at all. $#^^@ it! Since I got the in-home warranty, no problem, I'll call the store's repair line. Well, they couldn't come the next day as they only get up to this area twice a week and tomorrow ain't one of them. Not an issue since all our roads haven't been plowed and nothings moving. So how about Monday? "We'll try." Another 4 inches of snow falls. Needless to say, they didn't show. So I call to see if they will be by Thursday. Yep, "Sometime between 8am and 5pm." I ask if they will have a spare engine on the truck. I am told, "Only what they normally carry." But I am telling you that the engine maybe shot, just have them load up a spare. She replies that they just carry their normal repair parts and if they can't fix it, they will have to order parts. Ma'am this ain't no washing machine. She recites the written words again. Soooo, then they will have to come back? "Seems so." 2 more inches of snow falls.
I was told that when they do get close to our place that they will call. I'll just have to have them park at the top of the hill and walk down.
