Posting pictures hasn't been much of an option for me. I only have one of those annoying free websites and I can't do it from there. Haven't had much occasion to do so anyhow. But I know of a few sites that allow you to post pictures there and from there they can find their way to iboats. Can iboats provide such a service to accomodate their members?

Good idea WillyB. iboats could tack on a mil surcharge on each sale to finance it. :D Let's see, I just bought a set of SmartTabs at $159.95 + 8.95 S&H + .0159 cent surcharge for picture hosting. That's it. I think they should go for it.

If they were to host the pictures somewhere on an iboats server, they might just as well allow for direct attachments to a specific message within a thread. The end result is the same amount of space required on behalf of iboats.
Attaching a photo to a message is 'easier' for the general population, than trying to figure out how to use image tags and locate another url.

Hmmm, doesn't your ISP offer you personal web space to build your own webpage?? Most do, Earth link offers 10MB etc.

Using an FTP program to log into that file space and uploading pictures and/or files is easy.

When you want to post a pic here at iboats, just provide a link to your pic(s) from your own web space. You won't have to worry about the 'free image sites" changing their policy of blocking requests for pics outside of their site, you'll be hosting your own pics.

Most ISP's offer more than one email account when you sign up. Usually each email account has it's own web space too. My ISP offers 25MB of storage per email account. I can have 7 email accounts, thus I have 175 megs of storage if I want it.
