Pot Hole Bent Trailer Frame???

I know a guy that said that he hit a pot hole on the highway that bent his 20' Duckworth's galvanized frame rails on both side, right before the axle. He said that it didn't damage the boat at all nor did the tires blow. It's that hard to believe that the frame would bend without any other damage but he swears by it . Comments?

While it's possible, it's highly improbable. Maybe if he went off road at a high rate of speed, I'd believe it more.

i bent one side of an old trailer last week, hitting a pot hole at the ramp. but the trailer was on it's last leg anyway. it gave way at one of the adjustable carriage mount hole just in front of the axle. just replaced it with a use galvanized trailer.
