Pouring AF in Thermistat hoses causing hydrolocking?

Read most threads on winterization on this forum...excellent help. I understand the air don't freeze approach. Also appreciate there is more than one way to skin the cat. For those that want to fill the block with AF after draining the block...is it possible that the AF can enter the piston cylinder and cause hydrolocking? Long Island video Utube does this and thought it was ok? Thoughts?

This question came up on our maintenance course with a lively debate.

Thanks in advance,
Dui

NO. Cooling hoses only connect to coolant passages, not directly to the cylinders.

Of course, if you have something broken or damaged, it's a different story. But if everything is working properly, coolant can not get to the cylinders.
