pouring antifreeze w/thermostat removed?

I put 3 gallons down there. How much does it take? Can you overfill it? Where does it go if its too full?

pretty sure it like 3 1/2 gal in the motor and about 3/4 gal in each manifold/riser

It must be ALOT. Will it eventually overflow from the thermostat housing?

It'll either run out the Water Pick-up,......
Or,......
Out the Exhaust Risers.........
Or,......
Over flow the T-Stat.......

I've got a 7.4L Carb and i think the service manual listed something like 21 quarts of AF...4 qts in a gal, so that would be like 5.xx gallons. Now, not all that goes in the block of course, some of its for the manifolds etc
