Hopeing someone can help me out. For some reason when I turn the power switch on to the boat all the gauges come on and the livewell starts running. The switch to the livewell is turned off but continues to run. I disconnected the battery while the boat was not in use. Hooked it back up and now this problem is happening. It has to be something small but I cant seem to put a finger on it. Can anyone help?

Welcome to iboats!

By "power switch", do you mean the ignition switch or a battery switch? Either way, you have a wiring problem, but we need to know more about your setup.

And it may be as simple as a bad switch stuck in the on position.

Re: Power issue with Livewell not motor problem

Well fella's, I have to admit that I fell pretty dumb right now. After staring at the console and boat thinking what have I done, I remembered I have 2 livewell switchs on the boat. The one on the bow of the boat happened to be on..WOW..So we can forget I ever asked about that. But that brings me to my next question. During the aerator deal, I unscrewed the ignition switch off to evaluate the wiring thinking something was wrong. I unscrewed the battery wire and 2 black wires to see if that would kill the accessories. Then put it back together. Later on that day I took the boat to the lake to go fishing and the motor just turned over. I know the motor runs great cause I took it out 2 weeks earlier and it ran just fine. its just something I have done. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem now?

Thanks for your patience

sounds like you have the ignition wire in the wrong location on the switch
