I have an 1983 johnson 50 hp (J50BELCTA) I just installed a new power pack and new coils trying to find out which wire goes to the top spark plug. And what would be the result if they were crossed? Thanks, John

The diagram that I have shows orange to the bottom coil and orange with blue stripe to top coil. If you cross them up, it may backfire and won't run because it will be firing at the bottom of the stroke.
