I've been having steering issues and just now finding time to address them. I have an 88 Chaparral 198 and the original actuator didn't seem to actuate. Just rough steering. I ended up purchasing a new used actuator and before completely installing the unit I decided to hook up the hydraulic lines to it and give it a test. This one slowly works it's way out to full extension reguardless of how I manipulate the lever.
What I know is this is the old style without the "flats" to make vertical. Is there something else that should be lined up properly? Everything is lined as far as I can tell.
thank you.
I have included I picture for reference
