Your cooler looks like one of the #17's in this drawing. Probably the lower one.

Wow, thanks Don, i was way off. I will check it out in the morning and update a pic.
So is there a small drain plug on this cooler?

Probably not, but removing the hose from the low side of the cooler should let the water out enough to keep it from freezing. If it's level, remove the hose, loosen the cooler and tilt it down enough to drain the water.

Usually under the exhust manifold on one side. Its probably in your way when you're trying to loosen the block drain.

The PS cooler (heat exchanger) assy. is located on the port side of the engine next to where the oil pan meets the block. Tough to see if access is an issue. You may have to pull the back seat so you have an unobstructed view of the area.

Haven't seen many 2002 3.0L engines with power steering have you?

My bad, I was referencing a 5.7 litre engine. Not familiar with the 3.0.
