Power Steering Hose

The high pressure hose on my power steering system has sprung a leak. It is leaking where the rubber and steel parts of the hose meet.

I'm open to suggestions on the best way to fix this. Is buying a new hose the only option?

In the picture, hose "D" is the culprit and the leak is at the end that attaches to the ram.

Also; will I hurt anything buy removing the belt on the pump and running w/o power steering? It won't hurt my helm or cable system will it??

Thanks

Oh and its NOT a slow leak. The reservoir gets below the dipstick in about 15 mins of use.

Upon further inspection "E" is the bad guy. It looks like the power steering belt also spins the water pump so removing it is out.

So this is the hose I need and best price so far. http://www.ebay.com/itm/984358-0984...MC-5-0L-504APARY-/220926483902#ht_1594wt_1037

My leak is happening where the steel and rubber parts of the line meet. I am going to try and jury rig it first of course since it is a low pressure return hose. I think I might be able to cut the line in 2 places and mate them together with hose clamps. I'll update this thread in case it helps someone in the future.

Get a new hose made for you. Plenty of places that will make these.
