Power steering leak on Mercruiser 4.3L Alpha 1 Gen 2

Hey,

About 2 years ago, my family purchased a Regal 1800 LSR with a Mercrusier 4.3L Alpha 1 Gen 2 sterndrive. We were new to marine engines and boating so we probably purchased a boat that was not maintained well.

Now, the boat is having power steering problems and we may have found the reason why, but unsure on what part to purchase.

I have attached some pictures to show what I am looking for and was hoping people with experience in marine mechanics to help me out.

After doing some searching, I have found these parts:
Will these do the trick? I'm unsure if the price is reasonable or not
  1. https://nuwavemarine.com/oem-mercrui...-32-806222-16/
  2. https://nuwavemarine.com/oem-mercrui...6-32-806221-5/
  3. https://nuwavemarine.com/oem-mercrui...-32-806221-42/

For numbers 2 and 3, they are using the same image for the listing. Should I just go by the part numbers or should I purchase the cheaper one?

This would've been a lot easier had I still have the serial number

1 looks like the hose from the trim/tilt pump so no on that one . 2 and 3 are the same LOW pressure return host to the ps cooler and just regular hose from the cooler to the pump. You need the high pressure hose from the cylinder to the ps pump

Almost any solution is a better one than spending 'marine' dollars on an automotive part. There is no reason to buy marine source on those.

I don't need the hose, but need the part that the hose attaches to. If you look at my 2nd picture, clearly that part is rusted. Will a hydraulic shop fix one up for us?

Could you possibly push me to the right direction? Tried getting a normal hose and tightening using a hose clamp, but the hose deteriorated.

Go to NAPA, bring your hose, tell them what it is for - power steering running motor oil, I believe. They will make you or find you a replacement.

that is the crimped on hose end fitting that will come with the hose from the hydraulic shop or the Napa like Rick mentioned

it is a section of bent and flared tubing and a tube nut.

Little update:

Went to NAPA, they could not get me anything that resembles the part.

I might just try to find something that fits the threads and try to use a hose clamp on it with the original tube.

You don't give us year or serial number, my guess is that you need hoses like on this page. However, I would still be fairly confident I could find an automotive shop that can make that up for half the marine version.

The high pressure side will eventually leak if you hose clamp it.

I went to a hydraulic shop and they said that they don’t have a fitting that fits what I gave them.

Parents bought this boat used. If there’s a serial number anywhere other than the pictures I sent, there’s no way I can find the S/N.

Went to 2 different Napa’s and local hydraulic shop, they all don’t have a part that has the same threading and size.

I think serial number is written right on the flash arrestor.....

I literally can't read anything on this. Did it rub off? Do I need a special UV light to see this invisible ink?

Well, ain't that a fine how do you do. And nothing on the bellhousing above the starter?

With ThunderboltV your motor is newer than mine. So we can pick parts lists that use that ignition anyway.
