Power steering developed a big leak back where the steering cable connects. I figured it was hard to describe so I took some pictures. (I hope no one minds the size, I thought someone might be able to tell something if they could see the details.)
First the specifics: 1988 OMC Cobra w/ 5.0L GM engine - Chapparral.

Here is the first pic showing the assembly I am talking about.

The fluid pours out in the area of the arrow

And here is a slightly different view

Problem is that I have the Seloc manual which tells me how to fill the fluid in the pump and that is about it. I swear it looks like there is a hole in the side of the cylinder where the rust is, but I can't see well enough to know.

My questions are:

1. I am pretty sure I need to pull the entire assembly and send to a hydraulic shop for repairs. Does that sound right? Or should I look for new parts?

2. What is the best way to get this unit off the boat?

3. Any suggestions for where I can get these parts? (Yes, I want to try iboats first, but I could not find anything close on the site. iboats - feel free to point me in the right directon).

Anyone have a problem like this? It looks like the parts have rubbed together and caused a hole in the cylinder.
