Other day I returned too home port driving a 30 footer , 50 miles with no PS , , Not fun , little control , took us 9 hours
. But we did it
Multiple issues on starboard engine , raw water pump blew seal , spraying salt water all over top portion of engine by throttle control ,
Air flow sensor failed , causing engine too run full rpms ,
Between water spraying and full throttle rpms , Not starting that engine Returned
Wind was in our favor and nudged us too fuel dock , If we had too turn wheel a lot would have been tuff , tied up , long day . Had help, following day too put into slip
SO MY QUESTION IS THERE A WAY TOO LOOP BOTH ENGINES SO I HAVE PS ON BOTH ENGINES ?
TWIN 4.3 GXI Volvo Penta
I.O Drives
STARBOARD ENGINE
Power steering pump and lines go too actuator , returning too pump
PORT ENGINE
Has a power steering pump with fluid , that must be looped , pump doing nothing actually a pully ,
Is this normal with manufactures ?
Is there a way I can install a cut off valve too switch between the two , or have them hooked up both working ??
thanks
