Power Tilt and Trim level top up

Hi<br /><br />I am looking at topping up the oil level on my PT&T, I have a Mariner 60hp 3 cylinder 1988 2 stroke engine. I have raised the engine, unscrewed the large nut for the PT&T unit on the side of the motor (below the engine casing) and unable to see any oil level whatsoever. What level do I fill to? Is there a need to drain the system, it has not been renewed for at least 3 years. Is it an oil specificically used for PT&T.<br /><br />As you may be able to tell, I am new to boating!<br /><br />Thanks for help.

I am not sure which system you have on your motor, but most use a fluid like automatic transmission fluid. <br /><br />Some older Chrysler/Force systems use 30wt oil.<br /><br />Hopefully someone will come along with fill level info for you.
