Power tilt motor (1990 Merc. Blackmax 150)

Hey there,<br /><br />My power tilt motor is shot on my 1990 Mercury Black Max 150hp. Shop says they can replace it for around $900. This sounds a little high to me. Does it sound high to anybody else???<br /><br />They are going to see if they can rebuild it for around $200 but if that doesn't work out, I want to know that $900 isn't way out of the ballpark.<br /><br />I assume you can just replace the motor as long as the pump is still good, right?<br /><br />Thanks, bbb

A new trim motor should be under 300.00. I think I seen the pump and motor package on a web site for around 400.00.
