I have a 15' Key West with a 2000 Yamaha 50 (2 stroke) that I love, and recently the power trim/tilt went on it. When I press the throttle-based button I get a clicking (like a solenoid) and I can hear something spinning / grinding, but ... no movement up or down, so ... I assume some or all of the system is shot. So, I lift by hand (ugh). There are several used / rebuilt marine shops in my seaside town, so I'm hoping I don't have to go all new equipment to fix the problem, but ... does the replacement part(s) have to be new, and does it have to be for a 2000 Yamaha 50, or can it be generic for that "type" of outboard? What am I up against? Thanks ... Ed
