power tilt on a 1998 four winns 278 vista

The bayliner is on the trailer in the back yard. bought a four winns 278 and have one problem, the port engine won't tilt.up or down. when it was first put in the water it went down fine but when I was running it I noticed it wasn't working. I went back to the port tilt motor and the reset button was broken off. How can I tell if its the relay or the switch on the throttle?

It doesn't matter what kind of boat it's on, need to know what engine and drive package you have.

The boat has Twin 4.3 EFI/Volvo Penta SX. Also is their any other relays other than the one on the tilt motor

Well, it's going to take a full model number of your engine 4.3Gi and then there are some letters that follow.
Depending on what year engine package was put in your boat, the 97 trim was different than the 98.

The relay that has the reset button broke off is

There is power to the side that has 5 wires If I run power to the 2nd and 4th wire the unit will tilt up and down
