I have an 82 Merc 5.7 with Merc "1" drive in a Glastron deck boat. I cant find any where to check the fluid level for the power trim. Any one know where to look?

The unit itself is generally located portside rear......
There should be two screws, one high, one low....
The 'high' one is the 'vent', the 'lower' the 'fill'......;)

I am not talking about the gear oil for the drive itself, but the fluid for the power trim/tilt pump.

I knowwhat you are asking, & that is generally where they are located.....
Look for some hydraulic hoses....
There can't be too many things that look like a trim pump in/near the engine compartment......:)

hydro, haut wouldn't lead you wrong. That year pump has an interior res. two screws, fill from bottom just like your outdrive.

I am slowly figuring it out. The way he described it, it sounded just like my outdtrive. So, there is in internal res. on the trim pump in my engine compartment. Thanks guys. It is the only fluid I have been unable to check on my "new" boat. Will check it out.
