I have a 1998 200 Johnson and found a leak on the lower right side of the power trim unit. I removed the unit and found a star pattern screw/plug on either side of the secondary cylinders. The one that is leaking is corroded. My question is, how can I remove them if its corroded. Why do I need them? Can I weld the plug hole shut? Thanks in advance for any input on the matter.
