Hello- a total newbie dealing with power trim issuess... working perfect all season-then nothing yesterday.
No clicking of the relays either. I hot-wired the trim motor and it worked perfectly. I replaced the relays - of course no go. I put a volt meter on the blue/green leads, nothing. The 10 amp fuse attached to trim motor assembly is good.
I tried to follow wiring back but it falls into the abyss of the back of the engine and I need to be a contortionist to get back there to see if any connections are bad. Nothing in entire engine compartment is corroded, so I doubt the problem. Could it be the trim switch on the throttle???
Took it apart, no corrosion. Was told by my local Volvo Penta parts dept. friend it's rare for that switch to go bad. But possible.
What should I try next??? do no want to spend hundreds having mechanic trace a wiring issue... any tips? Help!
Thanks much!
