I have a pair of 2004 135 optimax motors on my whaler. In the last year both main trim rams have corroded through and have been replaced. Now at less than a year the first replacement has corroded through. Is this a common problem? The trim zincs get changed twice a year and the boat stays in salt water. At around $1800 with labor each time, should they be failing so fast?
