I just acquired an older V4 crossflow powerhead on an '86 Wellcraft which is supposed to be 115hp. When I look up the model in brp parts I noticed it had at least a '88 or later ignition system on it (1 powerpack). This is a Sea Drive model 2BBXCO but it also has carbs with plastic bowls. The freeze plug number is either G3561535 or 63561535. The powerhead runs great and has 112-115psi on all the cylinders. Can anyone decipher the freeze plug number for me?

Thanks,

Larry

The model number comes up as a 1985 Sea Drive 1.6 liter engine/block. The single power pack did re-appear on the crossflows in the 1988 model year. Around that time, OMC changed their carb bowls to plastic-either 1988 or 1989. Sounds as it you have a mixture of parts on the engine. As a heads up, those plastic carb bowl are problematic-they eventually warp and leak at the bowl seal. Not so much if they will deform, bit when. You may want to replace them.
