Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how best to remove the corrosion within the bolt holes in a powerhead overhaul?
Some of the bolts were really stuck fast in there due to it and I'd like to clear the holes of the hard caked stuff in the threads before I insert new bolts.

Run a tap thru them. with some grease on it. The grease will grab the dirt. Only "chase" the threads, do not recut them.

Use a bottoming tap if you need to get all of the threads. You can also get thread chasers, which are made to clean holes without cutting new threads if you are a little misaligned.
