I replaced the base gasket yesterday on my 1988 2.4l 200 mercury. Can't find the torque spec for the powerhead in the factory service manual. Anybody know?
ya only able ta get a "normal" torque wrench on 4 of tha 10 nuts.. tighten in a chris cross pattern usuin' good judgement and feel with normal length 9/16" (usin' both box and open end) wrench....... run tha motor up to temperature check for leaks and snug 'em up again....
