I have a 70 horse 1982 Evinrude and opened up the remote control (Powershift) last night and now I know why it will not shift in reverse...The plastic (that is on the cable) has broken on the reverse side and when I try to go in reverse the cable binds up...
The cable is still connected to the control....
How do I get the cables off the controls?
Can I replace the plastic or do I have to bite the bullet and buy a new cable..
