Powerslot and 1: 1 Transmission

What is the difference in a powerslot and a 1:1 transmission? Is it geared different? Is there more bottom end??? Thanks again to all...

Powerslot (mfgd. by ZF I believe) has a 1.52:1 gear ratio as opposed to the (Borg/warner) direct drive's 1;1.. The powerslot equiped Mastercrafts used a larger diameter propshaft as well.. Basicly, the lower gear ratio allows you to turn a larger propeller.. <br /><br /> My guess for the reasons behind Mastercrafts use of the powerslot probably had something to do with achiving better and flatter wakes, and reducing roostertails and spray for tournament use.. <br /><br />As for performance differences between 1:1 and 1.5:1 whith reguards to the gear ratio, I skied behind em' all, no difference..
