Re: Powertech 4 Blade
4-bld has many applications and each falls into a different boat type.
For heavy boats they provide better hole-shot, with (generally) a slight loss in top speed.
For high performance boats, they allow higher engine mounting/running heigths as naturally more blade is in the water than a 3-bld when the blades surface.
For any boat they can add power for pulling toys of whatever sort, better than a 3-bld.
In most all cases, with the exception of the high-performance rigs with low-water pick-ups, the top-speed will not be as high as a 3-blade.
And yes, powertech has been around for quite some time, I've ran a few of their props and over-all, they are a decent prop. There are better performing props for the same or less money though.
