im looking at a johnny 9.9 and i would like to know the year and approx value on this motor<br />mod j10rcid<br />ser e54o6113<br />this motor was used on a small sailboat in the gulf around corpus christi<br />it is clean and has recently had carb rebuild<br />thanks so much

oh one more thing--does anybody have a clue how to do a remote throttle on thes motor??

1981, Tracker.<br /><br />Too old to place any value on it without a running demo under load. Could be anywhere from $150 to $500.

Yep....agree with JB. <br /><br />Throttle and shift kits can be gotten through any John/Rude dealer for that engine.

thanks, would it be easy to make a remote throttle,i.e. dead man racing throttle

One and two stick controls, OEM and generic, are out there. Some generics, Teleflex for one, may require adaptors. The newer ones don't. So just pick and chose what you get.....the more adaptors...the more complicated it can get. Best advice is to look around for an OEM, Johnson/Evinrude, single stick control. Well built and will serve well.
