Good Morning everyone,I just got a quick newbie to boats question.I am going to change my lower unit gear oil after work, and I am wondering, after i change it,and run the boat on muffs, can I put it in gear while its on the muffs,to run it so the fluid will circulate, just for alittle bit,so i can check it afterwards, and make sure its full? I bought the pump for the gear oil,and i learned on here i have to fill it from the bottom, and wait for it to come out the vent hole, and no bubbles, just wondering if it would be fine to run it in gear on the muffs? Thanks for your replys, have a great day,,,,,,,Odie

Re: Pre-Alpha Drive Question

yes at idle do not rev on muffs also if you have lots of water pressure dont open all the way but make sure you have good flow
I did and blew some seals out in water pump. and dont run water to it with out engine running as the exhaust pressur keeps water out of engine
