pre alpha parts?

ok so i think ive gotta prealpha drive. 78 305. so i ordered a transom remount kit. it was like 108 bux so im hopin its right. somebody on here told me the newer style kits would work for gaskets and bellows and such. so it says on the box 83 to 90 units. its a sierra kit #18-2601-1.should i return it ?

gaskets, o-rings and belows. looks like it came with the shifter peice but its not the one on my drive. and the gimbal bearing. but i know thats good cause they used those on 77 and up

I think you will be fine.....
The drive to gimbal gassket mifht be slightly different, but won't affect ya!....​

Very early ones used a bellows with out the ridge,If the one you remove has the ridge the kit will work.
