Hi there guys,

Just got a 1978 Wellcraft, was going thru it today and the shift cable is a bit off, when I have it in the neutral position at the throttle, the prop is still slight going / slipping, I need to move the throttle a bit into reverse for it to be at an actual neutral, I tried looking in the seloc manual, but didn't help much. Also, when the prop is engaged there iis a loud noise, and vibration when the drive is up, but whit it down it is normal, is this a u-joint issue?

Thanks!

you never want to operate any drive in the range above normal trim limit. It will seriously damage the U joints. A clunk going into gear is normal,

that answers that question then, but as for the shifting, I know a clunk is normal, but having the neutral off isnt lol
