Hi, Tripp.<br /><br />Though I have been known to recommend disconnection of early OMC VRO systems, I would leave your Merc alone.<br /><br />The Merc system reliably delivers correct mix at all rpm. <br /><br />Premix is richer than required for low and mid-rpm so that it can be adequate at high rpm. Result: more smoke and oil consumption than necessary.<br /><br />Good luck.
