Pre-mix vs oil injection

Can you substitute 50:1 premix for oil injection on a new style twin carb Johnson with auto injection? I never have trusted oil mix pumps, and would really rather mix my own.

Yes, you can. However, you will need to disable the current set-up and associated alarms. Check this post out....

Rick,Good post and a great link.Joe Reeves posts a lot of great stuff.

Somewhat off topic ....... are there any posts about bypassing Merc injection systems ?They had drive gear failures.
