Pre-Purchase Evaluation: Hampton 200

[Wildmans Larson 200]

I am considering purchase of a used 1995 Larson Hampton 200. It has a 5.1 Volvo Penta engine, which was replaced due to recall in 1998.

Are there any known issues with this boat? How does the hull design handle chop? I had a 2000 Seaswirl 200 (4.6 L engine) before - will this perform as well?

Here is the original brochure from Larson's website. It might have some advertising specifications that might help you with your decision. On my 208 LXi, I added Nauitica "Smart" trim tabs and they helped out the boat a lot. In fact, it's a totally different boat now.
