I’m helping a friend trouble shoot some problems with his Premier Grand Entertainer. The above listed things are not working. Would a bad gps puck cause this ? I only had time to look at it for about 30 minutes, but I figured someone here might be able to help. I’m assuming these antenna are smart, so I’m wondering if I can buy any brand that utilizes the same voltage, or does it have to be the premier one ? Thanks in advance for anyone time reading or help.

Welcome aboard.

Forget what pontoon the unknown GPS, speedo and clock are in, it doesn't matter.

Are we talking about a single unit or three separate units? Are you saying the dash is dead?

The gps screen is blank with just the cross hairs. I know it’s picking up zero satellites. So the clock on the screen doesn’t work. Neither does the speedo on the gps. The gauges are fine. I figured the clock got the time from the gps. Speed too. Thank you for answering.

Is it a system like this: Beacon System? If so, my wild guess is that it is an integrated system tied to the GPS. I"d look to see if there is any way to manually set the clock. If not, all three symptoms may indeed be connected to the ability to receive and process the GPS signals. .... and I don't know enough about GPS systems to know if the antennae are generic or specific to a system. Perhaps there's a part number on it.

Premier didn't make whatever unit you're talking about, they just bought it. What brand?

Guessing - The toon has a GPS or fish finder that isn't working. Brand?

That is the beacon system correct. The antenna pick is available. Part number 70003355. It just doesn’t have its specs listed as far as the voltage. But I thought I could plug another antenna in and see if that works. (After measuring the volatile going to the antenna). And correct. The depth finder doesn’t work either. Thanks y’all

All of the missing functionality requires GPS input. No GPS = no position feedback, no clock, and no speed.

There are at least 3 types of interfaces on gps antennas. Serial, NMEA 2000 and there are some proprietary interfaces as well.

NMEA 2000 would be the obvious “generic” choice if your unit supports it. Otherwise, your probably stuck with OE parts

There is a NMEA backbone. Going back thurs to have a look. Thank you for the info. I’m understanding these systems better now.
