Premix in 4 stroke?

Has anyone run 50/1 premix in a 4 stroke outboard? May have to in an emergency.

Ralph,<br /><br />You certainly CAN do it in a pinch. It will smoke, may be alittle hard starting if it gets alot of pre mix. THe pre mix will tend to carbon up the valves and may lead to ring sticking.<br /><br />In an emergency-OK.

Hello.<br />If you like injector trouble than putting 1:50 in is a sure way to go.It will get you back to shore though.If you see this sort of trouble coming,try to add mix to the rest of your fuel earlier rather than later so you end up with 1:70 or so It will cause less trouble that way.If you try to get rid of old mix you have laying around,you are better off mixing it in with diesel fuel and using it up in a truck.<br />Good luck.

Ya ralph, you can do it in a pinch...just dont troll with it, will foul the plugs faster....
