he may have won it 35 yr ago don't think loran is used any more. i would look for something else. can buy decent ones new for less than $100.00

Loran technology has been replaced with gps. I am not even sure that the infrastructure for it is still maintained anymore. Kind of like people trying to sell analog EPIRB's.
