I have an old 1956 Johnson 7.5 horsepower Sea Horse outboard (Model# AD-10) without a fuel tank and fuel line. I know that the old pressurized fuel tanks are expensive and hard to find. Does anyone know how to convert it to a more modern fuel system?

Hi B&L,
Who told you tanks were hard to find and expensive?? I was at a flea market about a month ago and saw about 15 of them with the most expensive one going for about $60.00. Most of them were clean with hoses and fittings. By the time you buy a fuel pump, new tank & hose, & fittings, you're certainly looking at $60.00, and possibly more. Keep your eyes open, and look for upcoming swap meets in your area at the Antique Outboard Motor Club site (www.aomci.org) or place an ad on their Webvertiser. The tanks are NOT all that hard to find...
- Scott
