Can't seem to find replacement springs for my prestolite dist. (Mercruiser 3.0 liter 1986 points style). Thinking of buying a kit for a hei car distributor and playing with the springs, but need to know how much total advance is needed and when it should occur. I think the total advance is limited by the weights as they could only swing so far. Some guidance is needed here and appreciated.
