Price me!

I'm looking to power up my 14' aluminum v-hull. What's a good price for the below motor? Does the 76 Johnson have any problems I need to look out for? I don't think a carb change will give a 5 hp gain so that's not really a selling point for me, other than the fact that it might be a new(er) carb.

I have here a great running short shaft, tiller handle, 1976 Johnson 9.9 with a 15hp carb upgrade.
Motor always starts and runs great. Just looking to upsize.
New impeller, fuel pump kit, and carb kit this spring.
Can start and run it when you come look at it.

Have him demonstrate it, fwd/reverse work. Check gear oil for water, comp check if you have a gauge( or just make sure it has 2 even feeling thuds when pulled over) Check for 1/4" bright blue, snap of the spark on each cyl. On the carb upgrade, some say that it will put it up to 15 hp others say might give you 2-3. If its nice shape i would est $300-500.
