I hesitate to post this at the risk of starting yet another flame throwing contest..........

What are gas prices doing in your area? I was just reading an article saying that over the past two weeks prices across the country have dropped an average of 15 cents. Here in Southeastern Wisconsin that has not been the case. We have gone from $2.15 up to $2.29 in the past week or so. I know that we have reformulated crap gasoline here and it costs more to begin with, but I can't help but think we are getting gouged a bit..............especially when apparently the rest of the country...or most of it....is not. So is there any truth to this? Whats been going on in your areas?

Re: Prices in your area....

1.97 is the lowest, most places are around 2.05 for 87 octane.

It has pretty much bottomed out right now. OIl prices will have to drop significantly to get it lower.

My crystal ball still says oil in the low 50/bbl range is possible before the end of the year.

Opec cuts in production will keep it up a little higher for a week or so, but the reality of the high inventories will sink in.

Gas will be in the mid 1.80s around here.

$2.15/gal. here iz PHX. We get CA leftovers.

I suspect it will be under $2.00/gal. by election day.

beats me I paid roughly 20 cents a liter for 95 octane unleaded this morning, the diesel pump was about half that price per liter.
when I left kitty hawk it was hovering around 2.08 per gallon.

$2.29 here in Florida. I don't think that it will go down much more if at all. crude is on it's way back up.It is over $60. now. I fail to see what election day has to do with the price of gas, must be another vast right wing consperacy. d:) OPEC cutting production will have an effect on the price of crude, otherwise why would the cut production? Here in florida most of the gasoline is barged in as there are no pipelines except for perhaps the panhandle and northern Florida.

You guys just don't know how POed I get every time I read a post about fuel prices in the US. On average we pay 4 times the price for fuel as you do, not because the cost of fuel is higher over here but because we are getting screwed by our government.
My business involves a lot of driving, I average close to 60k miles a year (the average over here is 12k). I work dam hard to earn my money then I get taxed almost 30% of what I earn but thats not good enough for this government they also tax the carp out of me on fuel (74% of the money I pay at the pump is tax) they tax the food I eat the beer I drink in fact it's hard to find somthing that isn't taxed in this country and when I die they will take 40% of what I leave behind.

EDIT: removed unacceptable bash.

I am so pi$$ed off with being bent over and reamed buy the government of this wonderfull country.

I wish I was a one legged, black, illegal imigrant lesbian, I would never have to work again, I could live off the back of some other poor sods pay cheque.

On todays exchange rate (0.5358USD/GBP) I pay almost the same for a liter as you pay for a gallon.

So pretty much what I thought.......none of you saw a 15 cent jump like I did. What a bummer.......................

Oh well............hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can drive the scooter more. Although they have snow in the forecast for Thurs so maybe that wont happen.........

Lots of the stations here are under 2.00. The lowest I have seen is currently at 1.96 and has been slowly but steadily going down.
