Pricing for Tahoe "leftover" models

A local dealer has a Tahoe Q3 that is actually a 2003 model that is brand new. Does anyone know of a resource where I can find a value for this boat? Looking at nada.com for used pricing isn't fair, but paying even close to MSRP when it is over 3 years old isn't either.<br /><br />Thanks in advance for your help!

Has the motor been sitting that long without running? Has it been run at all? Where was it kept? A lot can go wrong in three years, even for a boat out of water. Be careful on first start, make sure oil is where it needs to be prior to turning it over. Have it checked out by an independant and get a great deal. If they balk at the inspection, run like a scaled dog!

Being in the position of a dealer i can tell you this. look at nada and add 1000.00 that is it's worth .<br /><br /> Your dealer is a person who has his or hers mind wrapped to tightly around breaking even. YOur probably not going to win the right deal on this boat<br /><br /> But if you insist do it this way, offer him more than 1000.00 than Nada.......... and leave see if he or she reply's within two weeks at your price.

Thanks for your replies!<br /><br />I don't think the boat has been ran at all. It has been in their showroom for the three years, until the past month. Within the past month, they have moved it outside under their covered area for more viewers, I guess. This is a small town dealer who deals mostly in the pontoon and Nitro fishing lines, but has this one runabout. I don't think they have ordered any since <br /><br />The NADA plus $1000 is a good place to start...that at least gives me an idea.<br /><br />Thanks!

Sometimes a boat will remain unsold for 3 years because the original dealer was liquidated. So that dealer's stock ended up being passed around to other dealers. Maybe more than once. As Tail_Gunner already posted, such a castoff should be very low priced.<br /><br />But if the boat has lingered at the SAME dealer for all 3 years, then that dealer has no intention of seriously discounting the boat. And is just waiting for a sucker. And waiting. And waiting.<br /><br />Kelly
