If anyone is currently having problems with no fuel getting to primer bulb this could be the reason.

First of all I have a above deck fuel tank not the portable type. I checked all hoses for fuel and air leaks that could have occured over the time that it was parked. No signs of leaks were apperent, so i removed the outlet hose from the tank and submurged the hose in a half filled portable fuel tank. I worked the primer bulb and instantly got fuel to it.

Long story short I was getting air through the down tube in the tank. Had to remove tank and replace the polyethylene down tube that was cracked from elements and time.

The alumimum fittingt that inserts through the top of tank is barbbed or has ribbs that expand the tube. The ribbs prevent the tube from slipping off. This is where the crack was found; had to use a flash light and a mirror to see inside the tank. This tank is only an 11 gal tank so it was easy to see inside of it. The brand name off the tank is a Tempo.

Oh yeah the aluminum fitting has to be cut off with a hacksaw so you can push the down tube into the tank then remove it. I had a local shop aluminum weld the fitting back together again. The best part was that the tube was only 30 cents at Lowe's. Hope this helps anyone that is having the same problems.
