I have a '94 115 omc (e/j) powerhead on my jet boat. Been having starting issues and found the primer solenoid to operate occasionally. There don't seem to be any available in the brp catalog for my model year of jet. Is it possible to use a similar part from a standard outboard? Could there be a difference since on my jetboat the powerhead is inboard?

the old part number was 0436600. But heck it could just be the switch. I'll try some tests jumpin some power and see if it works. Would be alot cheaper I can imagine, they want 100 bucks just for the brass 't' on the top. Thanks.

I did search the brp site for turbojet and got n/a. Thanks for the other link I'll try there. Still hoping that t-daddys idea on it being the switch is correct havn't had time yet to test.

Well the solenoid seems to make a clicking sound when power is applied. I'll replace the switch and see if all goes well. Cool the money pit didn't win this time. Thanks guys.

Re: primer solenoid eratic

if it is clicking, it should be fine. to be absolutely sure, pull the small hose on the carb, that comes from the primer. pump up the fuel line bulb. activate primer you should get a shot of gas out of the hose.
