I have a 22 foot, 1990, Walkaround Avalon with an inboard/outboard Merc. I have a dual axle trailer with standard carpeted bunks with a few rollers in the center of the trailer....
The trailer originally had two black fixed "V" type rubber stops where the cable and hook run through into the crank....I changed those stops to the clear golden yellow, roller type....
The problem I'm having is when I try to load the boat back onto the trailer, as I proceed to winch in the cable, the boat is about 2 feet below the roller stops...The stops end up hitting the bow of the boat, then I have to crank the winch pretty hard to get the boat eyelet, which is connected to the boat, over the bottom roller stop, then the eyelet is snugged between the top and bottom roller stops...
, then I'm home free....
When the boat is out of the water...It seems that everything that can be adjusted on the trailer is set correctly...
This is the only part of boating that drives me nuts!!!
