Problem iding unit.

I have this Johnson powerhead that I want to link to the proper lower end. Is there a way to cross-reference engine serial number with unit model? Engine serial number is C8238691

Is this number from the welch plug located on top the engine? If not look for the plug you may get lucky and discover the model # there.

C8238691 That is the only number stamped on the welch plug.
