I just bought a party pontoon 32'. I took it out to the lake once. Now on my second round I find that I can go into reverse but not into forward. When I attempt to go into forward it makes a funny ratching sound. any and all help is appreciated. I just remember.

One other thing, that funny ratcheting noise is your gears grinding over each so keep that to a minumum or they will destroy each other!

sorry my kid needed computer. this will take two people. disconnect forward reverse linkage at motor and move by hand, this way you can tell if its in the gear box or linkage. I'm attaching a couple of pictures so maybe you will have a better understanding of how it works

stylesabu, that looks like a great manual. Can you tell me what title and publisher? Is it the best manual to buy for the Suzuki 200 HP? Where would you recommend purchasing the manual?

Thanks,
Don:)
